How Your Race Day Works
1. Tell us your plans
Where you’re travelling from, which day or days you’re going, how many passengers and when you want to arrive and leave.
2. We plan the drive down
Your chauffeured car collects you from your Melbourne home or hotel, Melbourne Airport or Avalon Airport, and we allow for the longer event-day journey.
3. Drop-off near Gate 3
The usual drop and collect area is near Gate 3 on Gap Road North, where event coaches and taxis set down. Access follows the event traffic plan on the day, and there is no dedicated chauffeur bay.
4. Your way home
Keep your chauffeur waiting nearby on an hourly booking, or book a return with a set pickup time. We agree a legal pickup point outside restricted event zones before the day.

Book the trip to Phillip Island and a return collection after your day at the circuit; we agree the pickup arrangements before you travel.

Keep your chauffeur nearby during the event and travel back when you’re ready, charged on the agreed hourly rate.
Multi-day booking
Trips across different days, for example travel down on Friday and return to Melbourne on Sunday.
All MotoGP travel is quote-based. Chauffeur Link Melbourne does not offer standalone transfers solely within Phillip Island; each booking starts or finishes in Melbourne or at an airport.
Planning the Road to Phillip Island
Phillip Island is about 140 km from Melbourne CBD. Phillip Island Road crosses the bridge at San Remo and is the only road onto the island, so on MotoGP weekend the event traffic shares one approach.
We don’t give a fixed drive time for race weekend. Traffic, road controls and the time you want to arrive all affect the journey, so we allow substantial extra time. The circuit’s event traffic plan takes priority on the day.

Where does the chauffeur drop us off?
Near Gate 3 on Gap Road North, where event coaches and taxis set down. There is no dedicated chauffeur bay, and access follows the event traffic plan on the day.
Where will my chauffeur pick us up after the race?
At a legal pickup point outside restricted event zones, agreed with you before the day. If race-day traffic controls change access, your chauffeur will coordinate the collection point with you.
Can the chauffeur wait during the MotoGP?
Yes. Book your chauffeur by the hour to wait nearby, or book a return with a set pickup time.
How long is the drive from Melbourne on MotoGP weekend?
We don’t quote a fixed drive time for race weekend. The circuit is about 140 km from Melbourne CBD and Phillip Island Road is the only road onto the island, so we plan extra time around the session you want to see.
Can you pick us up from Melbourne Airport or Avalon Airport?
Yes. An airport pickup from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) or Avalon Airport can go straight to the circuit or to your accommodation. Include your flight details with your quote request.
Can you take a group, and are tickets included?
Yes to groups. A People Mover takes up to seven, and our Mercedes Sprinter minibus takes 8 to 14 passengers plus the driver. Tickets aren’t included: race tickets, passes and hospitality are booked and paid for separately.
